Traffic Surge Marketing Techniques Empowers Offline Business Owner!
…As it happens, I managed to get out of my home based business office today to run around town with my wife to pick up a few things. At one of the small business shops we stopped into I ended up talking with the owner about how he was marketing and advertising his business. He replied that he relied on word of mouth marketing and his website. I asked is he was building his list and of course as I expected, his face went blank.
I smiled and calmly explained that it didn’t matter what his store was selling, if he concentrated all his marketing to a fine point which led to a lead capture page, he could increase his income. Still the blank face, but his eyes widened as I explained that with a simple marketing system, it would be easy to get better results.
He does have a few magazine ads out there and I explained that if he were to use a free incentive, or discount, in his ads the people would join his list with little resistance. At that point I shut up, and gave him a chance to think about what I said. He looked at the other counter in the store, where his son was manning the cash register and said, you need to listen to this guy….
I thought to myself, wow!, he was more than intrigued, he knew he needed help in his business. His son, I gathered, basically sat in the cubical and did a little Ebay marketing and manned the static website. (Many times in a family business, someone is in charge of marketing and advertising who knows nothing about it.) I explained that he could target any niche in his store and build a list of people who would love to be on the list to get things like discounts, specials, and industry news.
He really liked my ideas, so I gave him the Traffic Surge domain to check out and he handed me his card. I took a quick look and identified two areas where he could work in an incentive and lead people/traffic to his lead capture page. Yes even from his magazine, phone book, and business cards, these things could be used to lead people to a special page to get on his list before ending up at his main site.
The moral of this cool story is that the principles and technique Rex and Joe teach and use every week, will work for any niche or product you can imagine, and sell it successfully. Simply build your list first.
Next time you’re out and about in town, talk to some of the local merchants. You may just find one that wants and needs what you have to offer them, using the tools and training material you’ll find at Traffic Surge.
